25::Kinda Like A Big Deal?!?!

As 25 approaches...and passes by for some...it is only natural to stop, assess, and determine....determine whether or not you're where you wanted to be! I feel like in our younger days we had so many 'unrealistic' goals...unrealistic meaning, things that the average joe hasn't done until 30 and up. Think about it...how many of you were going to be done with your two kids, a husband/wife, and a white picket fence??? Dont be shy...

It seems like this would have been ok, in the fifties...or sixties...but life has too many twists and turns now. It's hard to stick to a daily schedule let alone a yearly one. It does make you wonder tho, if I'm not here now, then when will I be? My outlook is let life live itself....and enjoy the snippets that you CAN control...

Fortunately I am surrounded by friends and family who may not be where they thought they would have been, but are certainly batting a 100 when it comes to being successful in their own right. In my opinion...and moreso my mothers(lol)...some things you just DONT celebrate...

For instance...after 2 kids, with 2 separate fathers, the 3rd baby shower might not be such a big to-do on my to-do list!! Meaning...some times life gives you lemons..but that doesn't mean I have to be the one to order the round of lemon martinis to keep the party goin...hence why some people totally skip over certain birthdays..simply because when they take a step back and assess..their determination may be that...this too shall pass!!!

But then there are those who can jump for joy and count their blessings and really rejoice in not just making it to another birthday, but making it to this birthday with growth, wisdom, and sheer fabulousness...so whether it be your 25th, 30th, hell, any year...if you are truly making strides, and showing the rest of the world how it should be done...I say 2 extra drinks for you!!!!
